About Sesaya Arts
Sesaya Arts is an online arts magazine exploring new experiences in theatre, dance, performance and text. We tell stories about the people bringing new stories to Toronto stages and pages . . . and we capture the reactions and insights of community members when they encounter those stories.
Since 2012, educators and arts journalists Arpita Ghosal and Scott Sneddon have built community by creating and curating these stories for our city’s diverse, multi-generational audiences. We compose our pieces with a critical and compassionate eye, to promote interaction with the arts. For this reason, there is no content on SesayArts or its social media that parents cannot read with their children, or teachers with their students, and vice versa.
SesayArts Magazine is a volunteer-based, not-for-profit organization, and we encourage community participation in three ways:
1. Add your voice in the Comments section below each article. We read all comments, and promote a civil and constructive exchange.
2. Write for us. If you are…
a. A high-school student, we will give you mentorship to hone your skills, volunteer hours, and tickets to the shows that you cover.
b. A fellow arts adorer, we will provide you with a platform, editorial support, books that you review and tickets to the shows that you cover.
3. Let us know about something you’d like us to cover. Use the Contact Form or email us.
4. Become a patron of SesayArts Magazine. All donations, whether through an ad sponsorship or media partnership, go toward creating paid opportunities for contributing writers.
